Job Summary
A Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse is needed in a healthcare facility that provides maternity and neonatal care. This role involves supporting women through childbirth and postpartum recovery, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high standards of clinical care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Position: Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse
- Shift Time: Days
- Shift Hours: 12 hours
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include ACLS, AWHONN Advanced*, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP; valid California state license; at least 2 years of clinical experience in labor and delivery; proficiency in the use of electronic fetal monitoring, sterile vaginal exams, and other obstetric procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, and intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) placement.
- Additional Information: Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities depending on census and operational needs. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery, with a preference for seasoned travelers. A response to specific screening questions regarding previous employment at a Providence facility and references covering the last three years is required during submission.
