Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Massachusetts This position involves delivering high-quality patient care within the Labor and Delivery Department. The role requires utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs, ensuring optimal outcomes while maintaining professional standards.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Provides patient care through nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors patient responses to medications, guides ancillary personnel, and maintains documentation of patient assessments, discharge plans, and ongoing care activities. Demonstrates proficiency in nursing informatics and functions as a resource for staff education and patient care. Adheres to safety protocols and maintains confidentiality.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification required. Successful completion of CCH Pharmacology exam. Attendance at a Fetal Monitor Course every two years. Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Recent Obstetrics experience within the past two years.
  • Schedule: Rotating shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Must read, write, and communicate in English. CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification preferred.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must submit current licensure and certifications documenting compliance with outlined qualifications.
