Job Summary
Telemetered Medical Surgical Float Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare organization. This role involves floating between medical-surgical, telemetry, and step-down units, providing care to a diverse patient population with varying acuity levels. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting multiple units within the facility.

Job Details

• Position Title: Telemetry Medical Surgical Float RN
• Location: The healthcare organization
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS certification; ACLS, NIHSS certifications required; minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a similar setting required
• Responsibilities: Float between medical-surgical, telemetry, and step-down units, read and interpret patient strips, titrate drips including Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin, manage ventilators such as Bipap, Cpap, and High Flow, assist in patient care and documentation using Epic electronic medical record system for the transition scheduled for June 2021
• Additional Information: Must be comfortable with housing COVID-19 patients on different hallways, and with working in units with both clean and dirty patients. Self-scheduling and blocked schedules are permitted as long as unit needs are met.
