Job Summary
Telemetry (TELE) RN Day Shift Location not specified. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within a Neuroscience unit, serving neuro patients including those with cerebrovascular accidents and neurosurgical needs. The position requires flexibility in floating between units and adherence to clinical protocols specific to neuro patient care.
Job Details
- Position Description: 1 Year/First Timers Neuro Experience Telemetry Registered Nurse Req 10888. The role covers day shifts, with the ability to float between units as needed.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of experience in neuro or telemetry, basic knowledge of neuro procedures such as interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of neuro patients, and familiarity with Epic charting system. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), craniotomy, management of CVA, neuro stepdown, pre/post neurosurgery care, procedural sedation monitoring, spinal cord injury, and telemetry.
- Additional Information: The nurse must be comfortable with NIH Stroke Scale and various neurology diagnoses, with experience or willingness to learn heavy neuro unit procedures.
