Job Summary
CCU (Coronary Care Unit) Nurse in the Baltimore, MD area. This position involves providing specialized care in a 12-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, supporting overflow patients from Medical ICU, RRT distress, and other cardiac diagnoses. The role requires commitment to high-quality patient care on night shifts with rotating or fixed schedules.
Job Details
- Position Description: 13-week assignment in a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, providing critical care to cardiac patients with complex needs.
- Certifications and Education Requirements: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications. Previous employment with any Johns Hopkins health system facility must be verified if applicable.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Cardiac ICU experience of at least 2 years in a level II trauma center. BLS and ACLS certifications. Prior employment with Johns Hopkins facilities must be documented if applicable.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a high-acuity cardiac care setting.
- Additional Information: The role involves supporting overflow patients, responding to RRT distress, and managing diverse cardiac diagnoses. Candidates should have experience in a critical care ICU environment.
