Description
Job Summary:
The ORT (Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician) is based in an acute care facility. This role involves supporting surgical teams during various procedures, ensuring safety and efficiency within the operating environment. The position offers a daytime schedule with consistent hours, providing an essential service in patient care.
Job Details:
- Position Description: Supporting surgical teams in an acute care setting with a daily census of approximately 10 patients and 4 operating rooms.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS; 3 years of experience in surgical technology or operating room support; valid ORT credential; valid state license, with a preference for a California license.
- Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Experience with abdominal procedures, arthroscopy, and familiarity with surgical equipment such as drills, cameras, and light cords is preferred. Candidates should be available to start on 11/02/2026 and work through 02/01/2027.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must include responses to the question regarding prior work at a Providence facility, along with two references covering one year within the last three years.
