Job Summary:
The facility is seeking a Certified Operating Room Technician in the ORT CERT specialty for a short-term assignment in an eye surgery setting. The role involves assisting in surgical procedures, maintaining asepsis, and supporting patient care activities within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Position Description: To provide safe patient care following established standards and practices in compliance with professional and hospital standards. Responsibilities include organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks, creating and maintaining asepsis during surgeries, and assisting with procedural support.
• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Current certification in surgical technology preferred. Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 1 year clinical operating room experience preferred. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, Days, from 06:30 AM to 05:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, with no call required.
• Additional Information: The role requires knowledge of organizational policies, safety procedures, effective communication skills, and familiarity with surgical environments. The individual will support surgical team activities, assist during surgeries, ensure equipment care, and maintain a clean environment. Clinical preceptor roles may be performed following established orientation protocols.
