Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in the designated location. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The role requires strong skills in orthopedics and ophthalmology, with a focus on supporting surgical teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. A minimum of 2 years experience in perioperative nursing is mandatory. Candidates must have current Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system experience from within the past 2 years.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Qualifications: Must be flexible with schedule, including being available at least every other weekend. Two calls per week are required, and on-call duties are every 3-5 weekends as needed. Strong general, orthopedic, and gynecology experience is essential; scrub skills are highly preferred, but strong circulator skills are acceptable.
• Special Requirements: Must be highly proficient in orthopedics and ophthalmology care lines; capable of working with minimal eye cases but primarily support general, orthopedic, and GYN surgery. Experience with EPIC from the past 2 years is non-negotiable.
• Additional Information: No block schedules are permitted. Bi-weekly orientation sessions are scheduled on Mondays. All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained. Full work history details, including bed count, EMR, and facility type, are required at submission. Reliable transportation is strongly recommended, especially during the months of November through April when all-season or snow tires are advised.
