Job Summary
Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse - Diabetic Renal Unit (DRMU), located at the healthcare provider's facility, is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a busy, teaching hospital environment. This role involves working on a 12-hour day shift, with orientation starting in October and November, and a start date of November 2, 2026. The position requires active licensure and relevant experience to support patient needs in a dynamic clinical setting.

Job Details

  • Certifications and Education Requirements: Active VA or Compact License required at the time of submission.
  • Schedule: 12-hour Day shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 11/02/2026, ending on 03/20/2027.
  • Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical specialty, BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Teaching hospital experience, charge nurse experience preferred.
  • Additional Information: Orientation dates are October 19 and November 2, with the understanding that the unit cannot accommodate or offer a block schedule. The position requires flexibility to work the schedule needs of the unit. The RN must do charge responsibilities, and all RTO must be included in the submission packet. Travel experience is required for all Centra positions, and the candidate must work at least one major holiday during the assignment. This is a travel role with potential for up to 20-week assignments, subject to census cancellations up to 36 hours prior to shifts.
