Description
Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) - Charge Nurse, located in the specialty department within a Level II Trauma Magnet Facility. This role involves providing advanced nursing care in a high-risk obstetric setting, with opportunities to take on charge responsibilities, working primarily night shifts through 13- or 26-week assignments.
Job Details
- Certification and Education Requirements: Alaska RN license in hand, BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced certifications; 0 years of experience required, with 1 year preferred.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Alaska RN license in hand for auto offer, current BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRPN certifications, charge nurse experience preferred or willing to train as charge.
- Additional Information: Must have charge nurse experience, with the ability to work in the charge role regularly. Candidates should be open to working every other weekend and willing to work in a high-risk obstetric environment with an average of 7 to 14 daily deliveries, including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases. Candidates must be willing to work a block schedule, work in Epic charting system, and have recent obstetric experience.
- Submission Requirements: Must include RTO requests at the time of submission, references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years, and a current license in hand or pending license accepted with 10-12 weeks processing time.
