Description
Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) RN Charge Nurse in Alaska. This position involves working in a high-risk obstetrics unit with a focus on patient care, team leadership, and clinical responsibilities. The role requires prior charge nurse experience and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient outcomes in a magnet-designated facility.
Job Details
- Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Alaska registered nurse license in hand required; pending license accepted but must have license in hand for auto offer.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week, with the possibility of working 3x12 or 4x12 shifts, including every other weekend.
- Required Qualifications: Experience in charge nurse roles preferred or willingness to train as charge; at least 1 year of clinical experience in labor and delivery or related specialty.
- Responsibilities: Serve as a charge nurse, overseeing high-risk obstetric care, assisting with complex deliveries, and ensuring compliance with clinical protocols. May be floated within scope to meet hospital needs.
- Additional Information: Must be willing to work two major holidays, have a valid state license (or pending license in hand), and provide two recent references covering one year within the last three years.
