Job Summary:
The Milwaukee-based healthcare provider is seeking an OR (Operating Room) Circulating Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatrics. This role involves supporting surgical procedures within a pediatric operating environment, requiring strong clinical expertise, resilience, and adaptability to change. The position offers guaranteed hours and a rotating schedule to meet department needs.
Job Details:
- Position: OR Circulating RN - Pediatrics, Milwaukee, WI
- Required Qualifications: Unencumbered Wisconsin or Compact Registered Nurse license, minimum of 3 years of OR experience, PEDS experience is REQUIRED, Associate Degree or Certificate education.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 10 hours per shift, 4 days per week, with a guaranteed 40 hours weekly. Shift times include either 6:50 AM 5:20 PM or 8:50 AM 7:20 PM, depending on department needs.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years OR experience required, pediatric experience is required.
- Responsibilities: Support a 17-bed pediatric operating unit with 14 ORs and 3 Special Procedure rooms (GI, oncology, dental). The role involves circulating for ENT, orthopedics, urology, general surgery, craniofacial, plastics, neuro, and eye surgeries.
- Additional Information: Precepting may be required; no additional preceptor pay. The system used is EPIC. Proper use of jewelry (single small nose stud permitted) and adherence to vaccination requirements is expected. In-house on-call and holiday coverage may be required, with response times of 30 minutes.
