Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse - (Location) This position involves providing expert nursing care to acutely ill patients within a hospital setting. The role requires comprehensive assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation of patient care, aligning with professional nursing standards and organizational policies.

Job Details

• Position Description: Under the supervision of a nurse leader, independently prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care for patients, utilizing critical thinking and nursing judgment to ensure safe and therapeutic care. Responsible for collecting and documenting assessment data, interpreting patient responses, developing individualized care plans, and implementing physician and nursing orders. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team members to deliver patient-centered care, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Performs nursing processes according to scientific principles, hospital policy, and regulatory standards. Participates in staff meetings, professional governance, and ongoing educational activities to maintain clinical competence.
• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse License (RN License); NIHSS certification; minimum of 3 years of experience; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; graduate of an accredited registered nursing program with a bachelors degree preferred.
• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week. Float to DOU (Definitive Observation Unit) may be required.
• Additional Information: Knowledge of advanced nursing theory, medical terminology, medication administration, infection control, emergency protocols, and safety practices. Must maintain all health requirements designated by the healthcare provider and possess specific competency certificates depending on the assignment.
