Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - San Joaquin County, California
This ER Nurse position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in a hospital emergency department. The role includes supervising and directing nursing staff, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Location: San Joaquin County, California
  • Position Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
  • Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Acute care facility experience preferred. Licenses/Certifications required include: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor, and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification.
  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Responsible for collecting and analyzing patient data, developing and implementing care plans, evaluating progress, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing health education, participating in discharge planning, delegating duties, and performing other related duties.
