Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Telemonitor Technician in York, Maine. This full-time position involves continuous surveillance of patient cardiac monitors, providing immediate notification of rhythm changes to registered nurses and clinicians. The role supports the clinical team by maintaining high standards of cardiac rhythm monitoring and accurate documentation during a 13-week assignment.

Job Details

  • Shift Time: Days, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, including weekends and holidays, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Position Description: Responsible for ongoing high-level surveillance of patient cardiac rhythms, notifying nursing clinicians of any changes in accordance with provider orders. Tasks include data collection for telemetry placement, interpreting patients heart rhythms, documenting on patient records, performing EKG procedures, and maintaining monitoring equipment.
  • Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, successful completion of clinical and professional development dysrhythmia course and EKG exam, BLS certification, two years of ECG/Dysrhythmia monitoring experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work under moderate pressure, effective communication skills, and ability to establish and maintain professional relationships.
  • Additional Information: Initiates and discontinues monitoring equipment during patient admission, transfer, or discharge. Performs configuration as necessary, and ensures accurate chart maintenance and telemetry charge. The role emphasizes exceptional patient and family care during the delivery of clinical services.
