Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care Floats Las Vegas, NV. This full-time night shift position involves providing critical care nursing services in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment, with rotating weekends. The role requires managing critically ill patients, administering medications, providing ventilator management, and collaborating across various ICU units to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Full-time nights, 12-hour shifts, with rotating weekends, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Current Nevada license as a Registered Nurse; BCLS/ACLS certifications upon hire; NIHSS certification within 90 days; BSN preferred, ASN acceptable if enrolled in a BSN program; 2 years of current acute care hospital critical care experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: CCRN certification; passing score on Critical Care Test or Rhythm interpretation examination.
  • Additional Information: The Critical Care Float Pool RN assesses patient care needs, carries out physician orders, administers medications, monitors patient conditions, manages respiratory and ventilator support, and educates patients and families. The role involves mentoring new staff, practicing standard precautions, and providing culturally appropriate care tailored to patient age groups. Float rotation to all ICU areas may be required. The team emphasizes teamwork, effective communication, and patient safety, especially under high stress situations.
