Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, along with neonatal care. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Position Description:
    Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse responsible for caring for patients throughout labor, childbirth, and postpartum. Must circulate in operating rooms for cesarean deliveries, assist with obstetric procedures, and monitor fetal and maternal well-being.
  • Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid compact license in the relevant state, two years of experience in L&D, postpartum, or newborn care, and certifications listed above.
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with the administration of blood and blood products, high-risk obstetric cases, and use of electronic fetal monitoring.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be available to work three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Ability to float between nearby facilities may be required; refusal to float may impact employment.
  • Submittal Requirements: Must include responses regarding prior work at a Providence facility, location, dates, and two references covering one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years.
