Description

Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position available in an organization within a healthcare facility. This role involves supporting obstetrical patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum care, with a focus on high-risk and low-risk pregnancies. The position offers the opportunity to work on a scenic campus known for excellent staff camaraderie and clinical excellence.

Job Details

  • Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate required; ACLS preferred.
  • Education Requirements: Valid licensure in a state with a compact license at the time of submission.
  • Location Requirements: Within 50 miles of the healthcare facility.
  • Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years in labor and delivery preferred.
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Attends all deliveries and high-risk deliveries, administers blood and blood products, manages epidural and PCA pumps, performs wound assessments, and supports gynecological surgeries and postpartum care.
  • Certifications and skills such as administration of blood products, cardioversion, cooling/warming blanket, Crawford surgery, epidural management, and use of electronic fetal monitoring are required.
  • References: Two references covering at least one year within the past three years are required prior to start.
  • Note: Candidates may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities, and refusal to float could affect contractual terms.
