Job Summary
Neuro Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing specialized care in a high-acuity Neuro ICU setting, supporting patients with neurological and neurosurgical diagnoses. The position requires experience in neurocritical care and adherence to advanced safety and clinical protocols.

Job Details

  • Certifications: CA RN License, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and California RN license in hand
  • Experience Requirement: 0 years minimum, preferred: 2 years in a critical care setting with neuro or trauma ICU experience
  • Location Requirements: California RN license in hand, valid for the state of practice
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Responsibilities include managing arterial lines, ventilated patients, external ventricular drains, neuromonitoring, administering emergency medications, and performing neuro-specific procedures and assessments.
  • Preferred qualifications include neuro ICU experience, trauma ICU experience, patient management, charting in Epic system, and previous charge nurse experience.
  • Additional qualifications include experience with managing complex neurological cases, trauma patients, and familiarity with neuro-specific equipment and protocols.
  • Submission requires two references from most recent employers and verification of California RN licensure.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
