Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Department Nurse, located at a healthcare facility, is responsible for providing specialized patient care during labor, preterm labor, and delivery processes. The role involves attending high-risk and low-risk deliveries, supporting postpartum care, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the labor experience.

Job Details

Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS (preferred).
Education Requirements: Valid licensure with a current compact license, minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
Location Requirements: Must be within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
Years of Experience: 2 years preferred, with a minimum of 2 years required.
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Must have at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, and current certifications in BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate.
Additional Information: Candidates should have experience with Epic charting system, administration of blood and blood products, high-risk delivery assistance, and use of specialized equipment such as epidural pumps and Wound Vac. The role may require floating to Post-Partum or Labor & Delivery units, particularly at neighboring facilities, based on skill set.
Submission Requirements: Candidates must include responses regarding prior experience at Providence facilities, providing details on location and dates worked. Two references covering 1 year (or 6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years are required prior to start.
