Description

Job Summary
The organization is seeking an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in a travel capacity. The position involves providing specialized critical care for adult and geriatric patients across various ICU units, with responsibilities including managing ventilated patients and administering complex treatments. The role requires flexibility to float between ICU units and a commitment to weekend shifts.

Job Details

  • Position Description: ICU RN travel assignment, floating between ICUs; responsible for intensive patient monitoring and advanced life support procedures.
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and OCNS required.
  • Education and Experience: At least 1 year of ICU experience required.
  • Location Requirements: Valid compact license in hand at submission; 50-mile local radius accepted.
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Patient Ratios: 1:2, with potential for 1:3 depending on patient needs; float to sister ICUs (SICU, CICU, NSICU).
  • Additional Responsibilities: Managing Ports, administering chemotherapy, ARDS management, ECMO, ventilator management, cardiac monitoring, infection prevention, and other ICU-specific tasks.
  • Work Conditions: Minimum of 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks, with required holiday coverage.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must answer whether they have prior experience at a Providence facility, including location and dates; provide two references covering at least 1 year within the past 3 years.
