Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Emergency Room Kansas City, Missouri. This position supports emergency department operations on the night shift in a 38-bed unit. The role requires strong prioritization, time management, de-escalation skills, patient focus, attention to detail, teamwork, and a positive, coachable attitude.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week. The assignment is scheduled from 11/30/2026 through 01/11/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC).
- Preferred Qualifications: Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training, strong time management, and team-player abilities.
- Additional Information: The emergency department includes Rapid, Main, and a behavioral health-safe area. Commonly used equipment includes ventilators, BiPAP, electrocardiogram equipment, arterial lines, Belmont devices, and chest tubes. Typical procedures include port placement and chest tube management. The schedule includes four weekend shifts, two Fridays, two major holidays, and two minor holidays per four-week schedule. Navy blue scrubs are required, and special scheduling requests are not accepted.

The pay was the only thing that was lacking. But that is what it was! No regrets about working there! Also the housing situation was not great. But that has nothing to do with the facility!
