Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Night shifts Located on the 4th floor at a regional medical center in a community focused hospital. This position involves providing specialized patient care for adult patients with a focus on cardiac, neuro, and general medical conditions, supporting a team dedicated to high-quality, high-safety standards.

Job Details

  • Position Description:
    Responsible for delivering advanced-level patient care in a PCU environment, including patient assessments, wound care, IV management, and EKG monitoring. The role supports the organizations mission of community health and safety.
  • Required Qualifications:
    Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS, ACLS certification, 2 years of clinical experience in progressive care or intensive care preferred, 36 hours per week, Scheduled for night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum 36 hours weekly, and must have at least 2 years of experience in a relevant setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience with adult patient populations, including diagnosis and treatments such as CHF, stroke, neuro, COPD, sepsis, and diabetes, along with good communication skills and clinical proficiency in EKG monitoring, patient assessment, wound care, and IV management.
  • Additional Information:
    The unit has 11 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1, utilizing equipment including IV pumps, EKG monitors, SCD, and bladder scanner. The role may require floating to general medical units to ensure patient safety and staffing needs are met.
