Job Summary
The organization is seeking a candidate for the Operating Room (OR) Open Heart specialty position located at a healthcare provider. This role involves supporting cardiac surgery procedures within a Level 1 trauma hospital, with a focus on complex procedures such as CABG, valve repairs, heart failure, ECMO, VAD, and transplants. The position requires dedicated cardiac surgery experience and the ability to manage clinical responsibilities during assigned shifts.
Job Details
- Position Description: Cardiac surgery clinical support in an OR setting, including scrubbing and circulating for complex procedures such as CABG, valve repairs, and transplants. Requires ability to work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with call responsibilities.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in CPR and appropriate specialty certification, with a minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience. Must have prior travel experience and the ability to scrub and circulate cardiac surgeries.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 11/16/2026 and ending on 05/15/2027.
- Additional Information: Orientation dates are on 11/9 or 11/16, with no orientation on 10/19. Limited time off; candidates should plan to work during holidays as required. Support will be needed for a patient population that includes adult patients with complex cardiac conditions, including heart failure and transplant recipients.
- Submission Requirements: IVS to interview/manger to offer, all travelers must be willing to take call (3 layers of call, 24/7), with requirements varying every six weeks.
