Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) The organization is seeking an experienced ER Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency environment. This role involves triaging patients, assessing clinical needs, and acting independently to deliver immediate care when necessary. The position requires managing both acute and non-acute patients, utilizing complex nursing skills, and working with sophisticated equipment.
Job Details
- Certifications: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required.
- Education/Experience: Valid Michigan (MI) nursing license, with a minimum of two years of emergency room experience and travel experience preferred.
- Responsibilities:
- Perform nursing assessments, intervene appropriately and promptly, and participate in care planning.
- Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services as prescribed by physicians authorized plan of care and accepted standards of nursing practice.
- Process physician/provider orders accurately and in a timely manner, following up on medication changes and clarifications.
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and suggest or facilitate plan modifications to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with team members to update or revise treatment plans based on current information.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Michigan (MI) RN license, at least 2 years of ER experience, current BLS and ACLS certifications, and experience with electronic medical records preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience, Epic electronic record system experience.
- Additional Information: Candidate must have an active Michigan/MI license and complete supervisory reference forms within the last two years. The position is not conducive for local candidates due to a 50-mile radius restriction from the facility.
