Position Description:
Responsible for delivering comprehensive obstetric care for patients with multiple co-morbidities and high-risk pregnancies. The unit features an OB Emergency Department, antepartum, labor, and operating rooms, with a dedicated NICU team attending high-risk deliveries. The role requires strong documentation skills and comfort working with surrogates and multiples. -
Required Qualifications:
Certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and Advanced Fetal Monitoring. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery. Certified in Cerner Electronic Medical Records and fetal link systems. Valid license to submit. -
Schedule:
The schedule includes 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, including every other weekend and holidays, with potential for additional work depending on rotation and unit needs. -
Additional Information:
The unit follows state and AWHONN guidelines, maintains a baby-friendly environment focusing on skin-to-skin contact during the first hour, and handles a large volume of surrogates and multiple births. The facility is equipped with 24/7 anesthesia and respiratory therapy support, with a focus on high-risk obstetric cases and NICU readiness.
