Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart Specialist Location not specified. This position involves supporting cardiothoracic surgical cases in a Level II Trauma Center with a daily average surgical case volume of 55. The role requires flexibility, quick learning, and the ability to float to general operating rooms as needed. The schedule consists of a 4x10 day shift with at least 10 call shifts per month.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification, Washington State license, NBSTSA certification, minimum of 1 year of experience, and valid credentials to work in the specified state.
- Schedule: 4x10 day shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Singular scrub for cardiothoracic cases, support for general operating room procedures, assist with endoscope reprocessing, and willingness to float between units. Quick learner and willing to assist with learning.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adolescent patients, OR cases involving CABG, AVR, AAA, MVR, minimally invasive valve procedures, VATS, mediastinoscopy, RATS, CVL support with carotid cutdowns, laser lead standby, and experience with flexible endoscope reprocessing, including bronchoscopes, EGD scopes, and EBUS.
- Additional Information: Must agree to at least 10 call shifts per month, work holidays as required, and include all RTO requests during submission. The position involves supporting a variety of procedures including complex cardiac, thoracic, and laparoscopic surgeries. Candidates must be able to quickly adapt and demonstrate a strong understanding of cardiothoracic surgical operations.
