Description
Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse in the facility. This role involves floating to various units to meet institutional needs, supporting patient care across a diverse population including ER boarded patients, telehealth, and medical-surgical units. The position offers opportunities to utilize charge nurse responsibilities on small units and participate in interdisciplinary support.
Job Details
- Position: Step down Float Registered Nurse (RN) PCU
- Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid US licensure; minimum of 3 years of experience, with at least 1 year in a similar setting; ACLS certification; experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, cardiac telemetry, vent management, central line care, wound care, and other critical procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience, experience with EPIC charting system, and previous experience in a hospital setting supporting adult and geriatric patients.
- Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours weekly, starting 11/03/2026, ending 02/02/2027.
- Additional Information: Float rotation may be required. Candidates must have U.S. healthcare experience; Canadian experience alone does not qualify. Candidates should be willing to work three of five major holidays and adhere to specific scheduling requests. Applicants must include responses to prior employment at Providence facilities and supply two references covering one year within the last three years.
