This position involves providing specialized nursing care in the Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit at a healthcare facility in San Antonio, Texas. The role encompasses managing patients with trachs, home ventilators, and other complex equipment, ensuring high standards of patient safety and comfort.
Job Details
- Position: Pediatric Intermediate Care (PEDS IMCU) Nurse
- Location: San Antonio, TX
- Schedule: Day Shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), 1 year of experience in pediatric intermediate care, valid Texas nursing license, and ability to work days
- Preferred Qualifications: Trachs and home ventilator experience, high flow nasal cannula experience
- Responsibilities: Providing direct patient care to pediatric patients requiring intermediate care, managing equipment such as trachs, home ventilators, feeding pumps, central lines, and chest tubes, and supporting patient families
- Additional Information: Candidates should demonstrate flexibility, a positive attitude, team-orientation, and strong communication skills
