Description
Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location: unspecified. This position involves providing critical emergency care within a large Level II Trauma Center. The ER nurse will manage a diverse patient population with a wide range of acuity levels, including stroke, STEMI, trauma, behavioral health, and critically ill patients, utilizing Epic electronic charting system.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, starting on 10/26/2026 and ending on 01/25/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Active certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC; minimum of 2 years of ER experience; valid state license (compact license required); at least 2 years of experience; experience with Epic; ability to work any holidays; no local candidates accepted; previous charge experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level II trauma center and neonatal, pediatrics, or trauma experience.
- Additional Responsibilities: Management of arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP, blood products, ventilated patients, central lines, procedural sedation, spinal cord injuries, stroke care, neuro-trauma, orthopedic trauma, and other critical procedures.
- Additional Notes: Candidates must have all listed certifications. Must respond to specific pre-submission questions about prior employment at a Providence facility and provide two references covering at least one year within the last three years.
