Job Summary
The Certified Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) position is based at a surgical center location. The role involves supporting a variety of surgical cases, including general, orthopedic, spine, urology, and gynecology procedures, with the potential to float to the main facility as needed. The position requires scrub experience and the ability to assist in a dynamic, fast-paced surgical environment.

Job Details

• Position: Certified Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) located at a surgical center setting, with the possibility to float to the main hospital facility.
• Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS certification, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification or National Certification (NBSTSA or NCCT), at least 2 years of scrub experience, valid state license (compact license preferred), and a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Schedule: Dayshift, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Type of Cases: General, Orthopedic, Orthopedic/Spine, Orthopedic/Total Joints, Urology, Endoscopic/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Gynecological procedures including abdominal hysterectomy, C-sections, Dilation & Curettage, and laparoscopic gynecological surgeries.
• Additional Responsibilities: Scrubbing experience is required; assisting with specialty procedures such as robotic-assisted surgeries using the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System is preferred but not mandatory.
• Float: Float rotation may be required between the outpatient surgery center and the main hospital ORs.
• Special Requirements: Must be willing to work at least 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day).
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must include responses regarding previous work experience at a Providence facility, along with two references covering one year within the last three years, prior to start date.
