Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse - Night Shift - Location: Sacramento. This role involves providing comprehensive maternity care in a high-risk, couplet care unit. The position requires circulation experience in cesarean sections, proficiency with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), and the ability to handle all aspects of obstetric and neonatal care.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Valid BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN-Advanced certifications required. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Schedule: Twelve-hour night shifts starting at 6:45 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Circulate cesarean sections, manage all aspects of labor and delivery, interpret EKG strips, titrate drips including Pitocin, and provide high-risk obstetric care.
- Operational Requirements: Must be willing to float to midwife and OB unit, follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios, and operate GE Corometric monitors for fetal surveillance.
- Additional Information: Candidates must submit a copy of their drivers license at the time of application. No candidates employed directly by the organization within the past year are eligible. The unit includes OB surgical technologists, and in-house neonatologists and anesthesia. Cancellation of shifts is allowed up to four times per assignment.
