Job Details

• Position Description: ICU Nurse position in a 8-bed ICU unit, working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit; BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS certification; 2 years ICU experience.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; every other weekend; rotating holiday schedule.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Additional Responsibilities: Demonstrating ability to read and interpret EKG strips; managing ventilators including Galileo and G5s; utilizing telemedicine equipment; providing patient care for general medical/surgical patients including those with conditions such as CVA post TPA, resp failure, COPD, CHF, DKA, but excluding CABG or neuro surgery.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other Sacramento facilities.
• Charting System: Cerner.
• Shift Notes: Report at bedside; use of self-scheduling; on-call possible; orientation includes 1-2 days with a preceptor.
• Other Requirements: No hospitalist or intensivist in-house; utilize telemed robot; provide care for stable patients with diverse diagnoses; experience with ventilators necessary.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must submit copy of drivers license at time of submittal and complete the Dysrhythmia Exam through Relias within 24-48 hours of acceptance.
