Job Summary
Telemetry (TELE) registered nurses are needed in a hospital setting within Region Two, primarily based at the facility's main location but with requirements to float across multiple hospitals in the region. This role involves providing specialized care for patients with cardiac, post-surgical, and other acute conditions, with a focus on telemetry monitoring and interventions.

Position Description:
Primarily assigned to the telemetry unit, with responsibilities including managing patients with diagnoses such as total joint replacements, cardiac rule-outs, pneumonia, psychological conditions, and general surgical post-ops. The role involves titratable medication administration including nitroglycerin, insulin, low-dose dopamine, and dobutamine, with RN titration of drips like heparin. Additional responsibilities include reading strips, monitoring telemetry, and documenting patient care in EPIC. The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of up to 1:5, with a maximum ratio of 1:12 when considering additional staff support. -
Required Qualifications:
Licensure as an RN, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a telemetry or similar setting, and documentation of skills including insulin administration, titratable drips, telemetry interpretation, and the ability to work nights. -
Schedule:
Night shifts from 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM, working three days a week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. -
Additional Information:
The assignment includes orientation, with testing out of Epic for experienced nurses and a full shift orientation meeting unit educator. Nurses may be required to float to med-surg, progressive care units, or ICU to support acuity needs, and must adhere to professional dress code. The facility can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment or three shifts if less than 13 weeks.
