Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in the specialty of Medical Surgical Floor is based at a healthcare facility. This position involves providing inpatient care to adult and geriatric patients, with a focus on med/surg procedures and patient management using Epic electronic medical record system. The assignment requires adaptability to a 1:6 patient ratio during night shifts.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: BLS certification, knowledge of Epic electronic medical record system within 6 months, at least 1 year of inpatient med/surg experience, and licensure in the state or a compact license.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: EPIC experience (within 6 months), minimum 1-year inpatient med/surg experience, BLS certification, and current licensure.
• Additional Information: Must have EPIC experience and be comfortable with patient ratios of 1:6. Recent Epic experience (within 6 months) required.
• Facility & Patient Care Details: Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics, with a daily census of approximately 8 patients. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services.
• Submittal and Compliance: All licensure must be active and in hand at the time of submittal, with RTO requests listed at the time of submittal. Onboarding involves completion of core items and labs within 48 hours, with onsite modules during orientation.
