Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Not specified. This role involves providing specialized patient care within a fast-paced, acute care environment focused on adult diagnoses. The position requires delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with a scope that includes telemetry, neuro stepdown, and various cardiac and postoperative procedures.

Job Details

  • Position Description: IMCU/Stepdown/PCU RN
  • Shift: 412-hour days (0645-1915), Days
  • Schedule: 48 hours per week, including every other weekend
  • Required Qualifications: Valid active Illinois license; BLS and NIHSS certifications; minimum 1 year of experience in telemetry, neuro stepdown, or similar units; experience in assessment and management of dysrhythmias, post-cardiac procedures, ventilator care, and advanced line management; proficiency in rapid response team activation.
  • Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification, experience with Cerner charting system, Level I trauma patient experience, or hospital teaching environment.
  • Responsibilities: Deliver care to adult patients with complex diagnoses, interpret cardiac rhythms, operate electronic fetal heart monitor and other specialized equipment, perform IV therapy and medication management, handle advanced airway management, and participate in emergency response protocols.
  • Schedule Details: Shift hours from 0645 to 1915, with a minimum commitment of 48 hours weekly.
  • Additional Requirements: Must complete orientation modules before start; floating within scope may be required; candidates must be pre-closed at submission, confirm compliance, and provide availability details; Illinois licensure essential for application.
