Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse position in Sacramento. This role involves providing patient care in a fast-paced MedSurg unit, with responsibilities including interpreting EKG strips, managing drips such as Amiodarone and Diltiazem, and collaborating with hospital staff during 12-hour night shifts. The assignment is scheduled from October 27, 2026, to January 26, 2027.

Job Details

• Location: Sacramento, California
• Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, starting at 6:45 PM
• Qualifications: Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; Education Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience in a MedSurg or Telemetry setting; Location Requirements: Must have a current license to submit; Experience: 0+ years;
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, rotating holidays, schedules available four weeks in advance allowing access for shift trades and availability marking
• Additional Job Details:
  • Unit: MedSurg 2 North, with float to Tele beds (38 total beds, 8 Tele beds)
  • Certification and experience in interpreting EKGs and managing drips are required
  • Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips, and proficient in Amiodarone and Diltiazem drips
  • Must complete Dysrhythmia Exam (Basic) through UNA within 24-48 hours of acceptance and send the result along with acceptance
  • COVID vaccination declination requires physician note or no documentation for religious reasons
  • Very fast-paced, utilizes Cerner charting system, and includes on-floor orientation for 1-2 days with a preceptor
  • Floating to Tele may be required
