Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) Located in the ICU department, this role involves providing specialized critical care to patients requiring intensive monitoring and treatment. The RN ensures that nursing care plans are effectively followed, supervising ancillary staff as needed, and contributing to patient safety and quality outcomes.

Position Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. Embraces the organization's core values, emphasizing patient and employee safety. Promotes a safety-focused environment, adhering to hospital guidelines. Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, and participates in patient rehabilitation programs. Responsible for timely and accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses. Initiates discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission. Maintains effective communication with the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of patient care. Provides direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel, delegating appropriately. Assumes charge responsibility following orientation and actively pursues professional growth through continuing education. Ensures a safe environment for patients, staff, and themselves, adhering to safety policies and procedures. Prioritizes patient care activities effectively and contributes to a positive team environment.

Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) before first shift; ICU experience; critical care experience; minimum two years bedside clinical experience; located within reasonable proximity to the facility; 0 years of experience required.

Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Additional Information: The RN will perform duties in a dynamic ICU setting, including patient assessments, collaborative care planning, and supervision of staff to ensure high-quality, safe patient care.
