Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Location not specified. This position involves providing high-quality patient care on a 22-bed unit specializing in orthopedics, including total knee replacements, total hip replacements, ankle replacements, total shoulders, and spine surgeries. The role requires a proactive and team-oriented approach to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Certifications Required: BLS

- Location Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license (candidate outside 50 miles)
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience as an RN in a medical surgical setting
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour days, 36 hours per week, from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, with cyclic rotation and every other weekend work
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, minimum 2 years of RN experience in medical surgical nursing, drivers license, and the ability to pass pass/fail and open book skills exams during orientation
- Responsibilities include managing an average patient census of 6 with nurse:patient ratios of 1:5-6, supporting patient care for orthopedic surgeries, reading strips, and collaborating with charge nurses and techs
- Additional Information: Self-scheduling available, orientation includes one day of unit-specific training, and attributes for success include teamwork, flexibility, and ownership of care tasks
