Job Summary
An ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse position is available at a healthcare facility in the specified location. This role involves providing critical care to patients with various diagnoses, including abdominal pain, chest pain, and respiratory issues, in a general ICU setting. The position requires collaboration with onsite hospitalists, telehealth support, and adherence to specialized unit protocols.

Job Details

• Shift: Nights, 11.5 hours per shift, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure to practice as a registered nurse, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, and at least 2 years of ICU experience.
• Additional Information: Candidates should have understanding of rural healthcare settings and telehealth utilization for critical care and pulmonary patients. Experience with titrating drips such as vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, and analgesics is required. RNs must be capable of reading their own strips and escalations, and be familiar with ICU equipment including vents, Cpap, BiPap, high-flow oxygen, and ventilators.
• Schedule: Self-scheduling and block scheduling are permitted. The role includes full and part-time shifts, with a requirement to work at least six weekend shifts per six-week schedule. Holiday work may be required, and employees may float within zone 4 based on operational needs.
• Submission: Eligible candidates must be in state during the week of orientation, even if some modules are remote. The hospital can cancel up to four shifts within a 13-week assignment, or three shifts for shorter terms.
