Job Summary
Operating Room (Open Heart), located in the heart of a healthcare facility, is seeking a skilled CVOR Circulator to support high-volume cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries. This role involves performing intraoperative duties for complex procedures including coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection repair, heart transplantation, and adult ECMO, among others. The candidate must be capable of functioning independently in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: The CVOR service line provides surgical interventions for routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. These include coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, ventricular assist devices, impella, intra-aortic balloon pump placement, and adult ECMO. Procedures are performed in a dedicated CVOR service line with capacity for four concurrent surgeries requiring cardiopulmonary bypass, including endovascular and thoracic interventions.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of recent full-time experience as a CVOR circulator in a high-volume hospital setting, with demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. Must provide verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed. Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The shifts are weekdays, based on department needs at the time of interview, with participation in call coverage after normal hours and on weekends.

• Additional Information: Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years recent full-time experience as a CVOR circulator in a high-volume hospital setting, demonstrating proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. Extensive onboarding is not required for eligible candidates, and verifiable references from prior travel assignments are mandatory.
