Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) position in Reston, VA. This role involves providing specialized care to post-surgical cardiac patients in a dedicated cardiac intensive care unit. Job Details:

• Position: Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH)
• Location: Reston, VA
• Shift Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 11/02/2026
• End Date: 02/01/2027
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS; experience with cardiac surgery patients; education requirements, degree requirements, and location requirements meet specified criteria; 0 years of experience required.
• Responsibilities: Care for post-surgical cardiac patients in a 4-bed unit; follow unit-specific policies and guidelines; utilize advanced cardiac equipment such as balloon pump and impella; perform procedures related to cardiac recovery; adhere to staffing ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 as per unit protocol; ensure documentation accuracy using Meditech Expanse system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Hemosphere or Acumen trained; familiarity with new equipment and technology; strong team collaboration.
• Additional Information: The role involves working in a high-acuity environment with a focus on cardiac recovery; candidates will be expected to comply with float policies and unit-specific procedures; optimal candidates will have recent experience in cardiac intensive care settings and hold relevant certifications.
