Operating Room Open Heart Specialist in Porter, IN. This assignment involves providing specialized surgical support within a 12-bed unit, focusing on open heart procedures and a variety of other complex surgeries. The role requires maintaining high standards of patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), BLS certification; minimum 2 years of experience in operating room or open heart surgery.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Must have open heart experience, able to scrub Ortho, Neuro, DaVinci robot, General, and Gyne surgeries. Careful adherence to scrubbing with surgical blue attire.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system and Stryker equipment.
• Additional Information: Must include required license and certifications with submission. Certification of open heart surgery experience is mandatory; capable of scrub duties across various surgical specialties.
• Travelers Submission Requirements: Attach required license and certifications, include drivers license and permanent home address matching ID, and demonstrate a minimum distance of over 50 miles from the facility.
