Job Summary
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse is based in the healthcare organizations ICU. This role involves providing individualized, therapeutic, and safe care to critically ill patients and their families, utilizing the nursing process to promote positive outcomes. The position requires collaborative efforts with the healthcare team to address complex clinical situations and patient needs.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Provides holistic, patient-centered care for critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic interventions. Acts as a patient and family advocate while promoting quality outcomes.
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) license, CPR certification, ACLS certification, NIH certification, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), at least three years recent RN experience in a direct RN role, and at least two years recent RN experience in an ICU or specialty area, with experience in nursing process, individualized assessment, plan of care, patient and family advocacy, patient care documentation, patient care conferences, management of complex clinical situations, communication, and socio-cultural variables.
  • Additional Information: The RN will assess patient and family needs, develop and implement care plans, evaluate responses, and coordinate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. Ability to manage complex and high-risk clinical situations and adapt nursing interventions to diverse socio-cultural needs is essential.
