Description

Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in an adult general surgery unit. The role involves providing specialized nursing care in a busy surgical environment, supporting a variety of procedures including general surgery, surgical oncology, gynecology, orthopedics, neurology, ENT, plastics, burn care, urology, podiatry, and colorectal procedures. The position is based at a healthcare facility that operates with a dedicated in-house team during day shifts.

Job Details

Location: General healthcare facility with a 22-bed adult operating room unit, staffed by 120 team members.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Experience: 0 years of experience required.
Responsibilities include assisting during surgeries, maintaining sterile techniques, and supporting patient care throughout the perioperative process.
The candidate must have current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Preference for candidates with experience or familiarity with robotic surgery programs.
On-call rotation is typically two 8-hour shifts per month.
