Job Summary
The MS Ambulatory Care Medical Surgical Skilled Nurse is located in California. This position involves providing high-quality, evidence-based patient care within the scope of practice of the California Nursing Practice Act, regulatory requirements, standards of care, and hospital policies. The role includes assessing patients, interpreting data, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, as well as coordinating with other healthcare providers and educating patients and their families.

Job Details

• Location: California
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Certifications, Education, and Experience: CA-RN (Registered Nurse), Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred, 0 years of experience required
• Responsibilities: Create a healing environment by being present to the patient and family, identifying and managing discomforts, providing emotional support, guiding through illness and recovery, and promoting family-centered care. Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients on self-care, monitor patient responses, and contribute to ongoing improvement in patient care and safety.
• Skills and Abilities: Effective communication in English, ability to respond rapidly to problem situations, contribute to team building, utilize available technology, and demonstrate leadership in practice settings.
