Description

Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location: unspecified. This role involves providing critical care in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment, managing a diverse patient population, including trauma, pediatric, psychiatric, and critical care cases. The ER nurse will deliver high-quality, safe patient care while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure positive patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Certifications Required: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state or district, NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS.
  • Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly preferred.
  • Experience Requirements: ER experience, 3 years preferred; minimum experience required: 0 years.
  • Cerner experience required.
  • The ER environment is fast-paced, treating various patient types, including urgent care, mental health, pediatric, and trauma patients.
  • Responsibilities include managing critical skills such as medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusions, chest tubes, and coordinating complex nursing care to ensure safety and quality.
  • Must be willing and able to work in the trauma room as a bedside trauma RN and take 1:5 nurse-patient ratios.
  • Candidates must be prepared to work in a demanding trauma setting and deliver patient-centered care aligned with safety standards.
