Job Summary
Certified First Surgical Assistant in the specialty of surgery located in West Virginia. This position involves supporting surgical procedures across a variety of specialties, including neuro spine, total joints, and general surgery, within an acute care setting. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient and safe operative environments.
Job Details
- Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS Certification (AHA), Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) via NBSTSA, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA.
- Experience Requirement: 2 years of surgical assisting experience required.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, including holiday call rotations.
- Responsibilities: Assist in a variety of surgical cases, scrub during procedures, support anesthesiologists, and maintain sterile technique.
- Additional Information: May provide float to outpatient surgery as needed; will cover CST as needed; must adhere to call schedules and respond within 20 minutes when on call; on-call coverage includes weekends and weeknights.
