Description

Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nurse in a short-term acute care facility. This position involves providing specialized care for patients requiring close monitoring and support, with a focus on cardiac drips, post-catheterization care, and ventilator management. The role requires flexibility to float between units and adherence to unit-specific protocols.

Job Details

  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI; valid state license (compact license must be in hand at submission).
  • Experience: 0 years minimum experience required; candidates must have at least 1 year of healthcare experience.
  • Education Requirements: Relevant healthcare degree or diploma as applicable to the role.
  • Location Requirements: Candidates must have valid licensure in their state and be within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, starting 11/16/2026 through 02/15/2027.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in critical or step-down care, including cardiac telemetering and ventilated patient management.
  • Responsibilities: Includes managing arterial lines, blood products, chest tubes, post-cardiac cath care, Vasoactive drips, and vent management. Must be capable of rapid response and code team participation, with experience in specialized procedures such as TAVR and post-CABG care.
  • Additional Information: Float between units may be required; must work 3 of 5 holidays and handle specific scheduling requests upfront.
  • Submission Requirements: Include responses regarding previous work at Providence facilities, two recent references covering 1 year, and confirmation of experience and licensure.
