Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) at a healthcare facility in the area. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, utilizing nursing assessments, care planning, and patient education. The RN will supervise ancillary staff and participate in patient discharge planning and team activities to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Position Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and/or orientees. The role emphasizes patient and employee safety, correct documentation, participation in rehabilitation programs, and discharge planning. The RN performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, collaborates with patients and families, and communicates vital information to ensure continuity of care. The RN delegates tasks appropriately, maintains safety standards, actively pursues professional growth, and manages patient care efficiently.
- Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: BLS certification required prior to first shift. ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only). Minimum two years bedside clinical experience required.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The RN will participate in team-building activities, manage supplies and equipment, and assume charge responsibilities after orientation. The role requires a focus on safety, quality outcomes, and professional development.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate current BLS certification and, if applicable, ACLS certification.
